Comment Policy

June 6th, 2009

Solar-Sim’s staff welcomes you and hopes you’ll enjoy your stay here! The following comment policy is intended to keep Solar-Sim’s Devlog enjoyable for everyone.

Spam Prevention
If you are a first-time commenter on this blog, your first comment will be held in-queue until a moderator reviews it. Regrettably, this is necessary to prevent spam, as this blog is hit daily by automated scripts that try to post spam (“spambots”). After your first comment is approved, any subsequent comments will bypass the queue and get published immediately.

All comments are automatically checked by an anti-spam filter. If your comment contains an excessive # of URLs, or if it contains words typically found in spam, it will be held in-queue until a moderator reviews it.

Language
Visitors are welcome from all countries, but please post in English.

Behavior
Please stay on-topic (don’t “threadjack”).

Refrain from using profanity; keep your comments “rated G” – suitable for all ages.

Comments that appear to abuse or threaten others, contain profanity, are clearly off-topic, or otherwise don’t relate to Solar-Sim will be deleted.

Trackbacks
Solar-Sim allows third-party websites to send trackbacks to its posts at this time.

Solar-Sim may delete individual trackbacks at the moderator’s discretion (usually if, in the moderator’s opinion, the trackback links to a site that is pornographic or spam-related). Trackbacks will also be deleted if the page doesn’t link back to Solar-Sim’s post where your trackback appeared.
